Until Steam and other digital download sites became popular , both developers and publishers had no problems with us hosting patches. Othen they would even send us the files themselves. But nowadays its their intellectual property and you have to ask permission of the developer, publisher(s) and the digital download platform to get permission. This is not only a nightmare to track down patches and get permission , but more often than not we get the response "We cannot grant you permission, it's illegal to offer these files for download outside Steam/Origin..." . And we certainly cannot afford any legal battle. That's the long explanation for this "No download" icon and a lack of downloadable patches nowadays.

I want to download. But all the patches read "Sorry Not allowed to host file" Why is that?
